From the Principal
As of today, Mrs Brigid Perkins and Ms Lauren Lee have started their ‘handover’ in anticipation of Ms Lee moving into her yearlong role as Acting Head of Middle School at the start of next term. Our Middle School students will benefit from even more attention to their needs over the remaining part of the term! In the Senior School, Mrs Kirsty Woods will take on the role of Year Eleven Coordinator, replacing Ms Lee, and as a current Year Eleven Homeroom teacher, should experience a very smooth transition. Both Ms Lee and Mrs Woods have done these Positions of Responsibilities previously in their careers, so we will benefit from their expertise in the area and the energy they will bring to their roles.
All the best to all those students sitting exams this week, especially those doing so for the first time. The important thing for all to remember is that exams are a useful tool to describe where students are in their learning and to demonstrate newly acquired skills. They do not define anyone’s overall abilities or worth.
Exams also herald reporting season! Reports will be mailed home at the end of the term and will arrive in the holidays. Again, the content of the reports is a guide to progress and only part of the story of our students’ achievements so far this year.
